MILWAUKEE — Bliffert Lumber & Hardware has doubled its pledged funds to help in the fight against breast cancer with a special pink truck added to its fleet. The company initially pledged to donate 20 cents for each mile driven by the truck.
The pink truck first hit the road in January, and as of Oct. 19 had driven 22,246 miles, resulting in a donation of $4,449.20 to Susan G. Komen Wisconsin, a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing an end to breast cancer.

On Oct. 23, Bliffert Lumber & Hardware’s Morgan Avenue location manager, Chris Hegeman, presented a check to Robin Luther from Susan G. Komen Wisconsin for $8,898.40.
“We were excited to double our donation pledge for this year to Susan G. Komen Wisconsin,” said Lisa Bliffert.
A member of the LBM Century Club, Bliffert Lumber and Hardware has been serving contractors and homeowners in southeastern Wisconsin for more than 100 years.
