McCoy’s Building Supply recently announced the upcoming openings of two stores in Texas.
A retail location in Alvin, Texas will open mid-2017 on FM 517 near the intersection of State Highway 35 on 8.6 acres of land. McCoy’s currently serves the Alvin community primarily from a location in Pearland and has nine locations in the greater Houston area.
“Alvin is not currently served by a building material dealer that can provide for the professional and the homeowner the way we do,” said Real Estate Manager Phil Hutchinson.
Construction has begun on the new facility, which will feature 18,000 square feet of retail space and a 21,525 square foot lumber drive-thru with a concrete paved parking lot.
Another location will open in Montgomery, Texas on a 10-acre site at the corner of Highway 105 and Buffalo Springs Road. Construction has also begun on the facility that will serve builders and remodelers, DIYers and the farm and ranch community. The store will open in mid-2017.
“We’ve been serving the Montgomery market for many years from our nearby stores in Tomball and Huntsville,” said Dan Stauffer, Vice President of Marketing and Real Estate. “Demand for our products and services continues to grow, and we’re excited to provide our great customers in Montgomery with a location to call their own.”
Once completed, the site will include 18,000 square feet of inside retail space, a paved lumber yard and 26,000 square feet of drive-through lumber storage.
McCoy’s currently operates 86 retail building supply locations with full service lumberyards in five states, including Arkansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
