MiTek names two new VPs

MiTek has announced the appointment two new vice presidents to the company’s corporate office.

Rachel Seward will develop channels and standards for MiTek to communicate and deeply engage on a global scale as the company’s Vice President of Enterprise Communications and Philanthropy.

Richard Sullivan has joined MiTek’s leadership team as Vice President, Enterprise Operational Excellence. In this newly created role, Sullivan will partner with MiTek’s global Business Unit leaders as a resource and internal champion to assist them on their journeys of continuous improvement.

Seward comes to MiTek with more than a decade of experience in designing, implementing, and leading communications, community engagement and public relations for several prominent organizations in the Greater St. Louis area, including the Saint Louis Public Schools, Wells Fargo Advisors, and The Regional Business Council.  Seward has a BA in Political Science from Boston University, and she is bilingual in English and Spanish.

“One of MiTek’s key goals is to take the company’s impact strategically and purposefully into the communities where we reside and serve,” said MiTek’s Chairman and CEO Mark Thom. “Rachel has the skill and drive to help us better align our business strategy and culture with our overall mission and impact on the world we live in, and we couldn’t be happier that she has agreed to join our growing team.”

Prior to joining MiTek, Sullivan held executive management positions with Carpenter Technology and Harsco. Prior to beginning his career in business, Sullivan served his country as a logistics officer in the United States Marine Corps.  A graduate of the University of Maryland, Sullivan also holds a Masters in Science in Management Systems from the University of Southern California.

“Rich Sullivan is a wonderful addition to the MiTek enterprise team. He brings a wealth of practical experience in helping businesses unlock value using the tools of continuous improvement: team building, problem solving, simplifying processes, reducing waste, lowering costs, improving quality, and driving productivity gains,” said MiTek’s Chief Operating Officer Tom Valvo. “We are thrilled to have Rich on board to collaborate with our global leadership teams in structuring and advancing their OPEX initiatives.”
