Q: Why did your team decide to create a new showroom?
A: We acquired the Springfield location in 2000 and decided recently that it needed a complete remodel to meet the needs of our customers in this marketplace. The changes include renovated office space, expanded retail space and the addition of the new showroom that features a wide range of windows, doors, moulding profiles, decking and architectural millwork.
Q: How did you address the needs of builders and remodelers when designing the new showroom?
A: We want building industry professionals to think of us for not just their building product needs, but also for design details, like custom millwork, hardware and stairs. We incorporated all these items into the showroom as a reminder of the value available to them from using TW Perry as a one-source location.
Q: What tip would you offer other dealers who are thinking of redoing their showroom?
A: Be sure to solicit input from the entire sales team so that everyone is engaged in the product selection and showroom layout process. It creates excitement in the team that customers can feel both before and after the remodel.
