Two promoted at Key-Link Fence & Railing

Key-Link Fence & Railing has announced the promotion of two employees. Christopher Wenger has been elevated to the newly created position of Director of Operations. In his new role, Wenger will oversee all parts of Key-Link operations and directly manage the four-person Key-Link management team.

In his five years with Key-Link, Wenger has worked in engineering and product development, including playing key roles in designing Superior’s 200 Series Railing and Cambridge fence, Key-Link’s Keystone and Outlook Railing systems, and more recently the Key-Link Fence and Placid Point Lighting.

Before coming to Key-Link, Wenger developed his leadership skills serving in the U.S. Army, and continues to serve in the Army Reserve.

“This new operations role is a change for Chris and it presents him with new challenges,” said Javan Lapp, Chief Operating Officer, “but I believe his leadership skills make him the right person for this key role at this time.”

Key-Link Fencing & Rail, also promoted John Piersol to Fabrication Manager. Formerly a foreman in the machine shop, Piersol helped launch and grow the company’s cable railing system by leading the Swiss screw machine shop.

“John has consistently demonstrated a strong desire to grow and improve,” said Lapp. “He added brought added value and improvements to our machine shop, and I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in the coming months.”

In his new position on the management team, Piersol will oversee a key component of the Key-Link Value Stream. He will be responsible for the Swiss screw machines, gate-welding, and post mount manufacturing.
